A transformer enables efficient transmission of electrical energy, adjusts voltages, and transforms current.
Electricity and Magnetism are interdependent, they are in a natural interaction. A special component, the transformer, takes advantage of this principle. It got its name because of the transformation of an AC voltage into a lower or higher AC voltage. This is why a transformer is made up of at least two or more inductors or transformer coils.
