Primary Batteries

Primary batteries include all non-rechargeable batteries. In many applications, they have been replaced by secondary batteries, but there are several areas where the primary battery is still the better choice.

This applies to applications with low power requirements such as wristwatches or infrared and radio remote controls. In such applications anon-rechargeable battery lasts one or more years, so providing a rechargeable solution would be unprofitable for several reasons.

Some sophisticated devices or electronic devices in industrial applications, such as measuring devices or applications in medical technology, require primary batteries with high endurance. They are available and based on lithium.
